Valeri Meladze was born on June 23, 1965, in Batumi, Georgia. His musical career began with his participation in the student rock band «Dialogue», but real success came thanks to his collaboration with his brother Konstantin, who became the composer of all his songs. His first hit, «Don’t Disturb My Soul, Violin», instantly gained popularity, making Valeriy the discovery of 1994. Among his famous songs are «Sera», «Samba of the White Butterfly», «Beautiful», «Heaven», «The Night Before Christmas», «Attraction No More», «Turn Around», «Despite» and many others, which have become classics of Russian pop music. Valery Meladze’s concerts always draw full houses, wherever they take place.
During his career, he has received numerous awards, including the Golden Gramophone, Ovation, Muz-TV, and Ru.TV awards. Meladze’s musical resume includes nine studio albums. Each of them contains hits that have repeatedly topped music charts and hit parades not only in Russia but also in other CIS countries. Many of his compositions have become soundtracks for films and TV series, and are often featured in musical shows.
In 2025, the singer celebrated his 60th birthday and is touring to celebrate.
